Nic’s Bit -- Super Psyched!

So for a ten year old girl, who is a HUGE rider, and hasn’t been riding lately, having your Mom tell you that she is taking you to Aiken, South Carolina to train is a BIG deal.
Nicole is super psyched for Aiken!
Let me explain. When I heard my Mom was shipping Jaliska to South Carolina to train for two and a half months, I was instantly jealous. Then, when I heard SHE was going too, I was even more jealous! At just about at the point where I was going to beg her to let me come, she invited me.

Now I wasn’t so jealous anymore.
My Mom is arranging for us to go over February break, we will stay at a Bed and Breakfast Inn, and I will ride one of the smaller horses and get a lesson from one of the instructors who is training there.
My Mom gets to go every other weekend to ride Jaliska, and will stay with the previous owner of our stable.
Jaliska is so lucky, because instead of being stuck inside her stall on freezing cold days here in Massachusetts she will get to be in the fresh, warm air in South Carolina. I have never been to Aiken, so I have no clue what to expect. But I just know it’s going to be a great riding experience!
The night before Jaliska leaves I will be at a Rascal Flatt's concert! I can’t wait to go with my Mom!
It’s going to be a crazy weekend with the concert, my basketball game (and practice) and acting camp. I will also be switching from my Mom’s house to my Dad’s house. I think I will be pretty tired once school starts up again.
Considering the fact that my life is so crazy, I just remember this quote from my new calendar, “Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn’t know that, so it just keeps flying anyway.”
I just hope that when I get to Aiken the trainer lady won’t think of me as a beginner because I haven’t practiced in so long! To keep up with it, I just walk on my heels all the time at school and sometimes even post in my seat during class; my friends think I’ve gone bonkers, but that is OK (I kind of am).
